What is component 4c?
Component 4c pertains to teacher communication with families. Teachers can build relationships and get families involved in their student's learning by communicating about instructional and non-instructional information. Although educators see most parent involvement in the younger grades, it is still important to continue communicating with parents as students get older.
Why do you need it?
Effective communication helps build relationships among teachers, students, and families. When teachers take the time to communicate with parents, it expresses a sense of care for their student. Strong communication also helps get families involved in their child's education inside and outside of the classroom.
